• Why was there a voluntary recall?

Out of an abundance of caution, in 2023 we expanded a voluntary recall of select lots of Victor Super Premium Pet Food to include additional dog and cat food products made at the Mount Pleasant facility due to some of the products’ potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

         All bags of VICTOR kibble that have a best by date of 11/1/24 or later were produced under our enhanced food safety measures and are not impacted by the voluntary recall.

We immediately began to diligently enhance our comprehensive pet food safety plan and are committed to exceeding industry standards in safety and quality.

         Our comprehensive pet food safety plan includes:

                • Quality control measures at every step of the production process.
                • Rigorous raw material screening.
                • Adherence to strict hygiene standards, regular equipment maintenance, and continuous staff training on food safety protocols.
                • Rigorous finished product testing with multiple tests performed on every batch of pet food before it is released for shipping.
                • Hundreds of safety checks per day, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards for safety and quality.
